3 reasons why Colombia is one of the happiest places on earth

3 reasons why Colombia is one of the happiest places on earth

There must be something in the water over in Colombia.

For the second time, Colombia has been named as the happiest country in the world according to the WIN/ Gallup International Association.

Having taken the title in 2012, this gleeful Latin American nation secured the win again in 2016 after the global end of year survey.

The poll, which asked 66,040 people from 68 countries around the world whether they felt happy about their life, found that 87% of Colombians were very satisfied.

So what is it that makes Colombians so very happy? We may have a few ideas:

1. The Food

Let face it, many of us would be ecstatic with the selection of mouth-watering food on offer in Colombia.

We’re talking bandeja paisa, tamales, sudado de pollo, chuleta valluna and of course, ajiaco. So much delicious food, so little time!

2. The Weather

Waking up in the Colombian climate sure is a pleasure. Even though some areas can be susceptible to bouts of rain and lower temperatures, most Colombians enjoy sun and heat nearly all year round.

How could people not be happy with a daily dose of sun?

3. The People

Many Colombians would cite the people as one of the best things about Colombia.

Good- natured, fun and always up for a laugh, it’s no wonder that even if they have moved abroad, they want to stay in constant contact with loved ones back home.

That’s where Ding comes in. We send hundreds of recharges to Colombia every day working with reliable operators on the ground like Tigo.

So make someone in Colombia even happier and send home a Tigo Colombia recharge today.
