Keeping track of a large family can be a challenge in itself, but imagine trying to keep in touch with family when they are scattered across different countries.
This was the challenge presented to Ding customer, Shevaughn, who stays in touch with loved ones back home in Jamaica.
“I am Jamaican by birth, but recently residing in Grand Cayman,” says Shevaughn.
“I both send and receive top-up. I receive [it] from family members (mainly my aunt) and also my partner [who lives in Jamaica].”
For Shevaughn, she has a very special relationship with her aunt and it is so important to keep the bond strong, despite the distance.
“My aunt and I have a very good relationship. [There are] a lot… of special memories [there].
“What’s unique about my aunt is her one-of-a-kind personality. [She is a] charming, down-to-earth individual who [is] nice to everybody that comes… her way.”
“[When] I ask her for a top-up, I… smirk because her response is always: ‘I got your back!’ “
But it is not just her aunt that Shevaughn needs to keep in touch with. She is also maintaining a long-distance relationship with her partner.
“We met at a football game!” she says.
“His personality is also just great. [There are] lots of memories, mostly fun times hanging out together and always trying new restaurants and new food.”
While Shevaugn regularly receives top-up from her aunt and her partner, she also sends top-ups to her friends back home.
“[I send to] friends whom I have met through school or mutual friends. [They are all] fun, loving and caring.
“I try to have a balanced life so my friends and I have good phone relationships as well as hanging out.”
“All of the above mentioned persons are special to me because of the love and affection they give.
“It’s just beauty inside-out. People like them are rare these days and… that is what makes them very special to me.”
Shevaughn uses Ding to keep all of these connections alive (as well as sending top up to her husband's FLOW Jamaica phone) and was quick to tell us how our service has helped her maintain them.
“I cannot begin to say how much Ding has played a tremendous role in keeping our communication going.
“Three words I would use to describe Ding are: fast, efficient and reliable!”
Make sure that you keep all your important connections strong and send top-up to a loved one today!
