Living away from family and friends can be very difficult, especially when you are used to seeing each other every day.
Griselda’s father moved to the United States from their home in El Salvador for work. Before he left, they were very close. Griselda woke to hear his voice with a cheery ‘Good morning!’ every day. The loved to spend time together and she would confide in him about her feelings, happy or sad.
When he moved, Griselda found it very difficult. She no longer had her best friend close to her every day.
When her father discovered Ding everything changed. Griselda’s father sends her top-up a few times each month and they talk, text and most importantly, share stories. Topping-up has become somewhat of a family event. Her brother, sister and niece all using Ding to keep in touch.
Griselda still finds it difficult but with Ding, she feels a little bit closer to her dad with every call.
