MSF/Doctors Without Borders have responded to the disaster quickly by providing emergency medical care, surgical interventions and other essential healthcare needs. Here at Ding, we want to support their response by donating to their Herat earthquake appeal.
MSF, which stands for Médecins Sans Frontières or Doctors Without Borders, is an international humanitarian medical organization. Founded in 1971, MSF is renowned for its dedication to providing medical care to people affected by disasters, conflicts, and epidemics around the world. They operate in more than 70 countries, providing essential medical services, including surgeries, vaccinations, and emergency care.
MSF's mission is clear: to provide medical assistance to those who need it the most, regardless of where they are or the conditions in which they live in. They focus on areas where healthcare systems are insufficient or non-existent. Their teams work tirelessly to provide emergency medical care, surgical interventions and other essential healthcare services. Their commitment to impartiality and neutrality means they prioritize people's health above all else.
Since the earthquakes, MSF have been actively working to address the medical needs of the people who have been affected by this disaster. In Afghanistan, MSF are currently providing essential medical care to those injured by during the earthquakes and aftershocks. The team is also working tirelessly to find shelter for those who have lost everything.
Our Access For Good initiative aims to provide life-changing help across the globe as well as empower communities which include the most vulnerable. For every mobile top-up sent online, through ding.com or on our app, we donate 1c to organisations and charitable partners around the world. In this case, we have chosen to donate to MSF - Doctors Without Borders. Our hope is that with this donation they can help more people in Afghanistan get the medical care or the shelter they need.
